The LIONS O-RU Package Includes Three Products:
Outdoor RU
LIONS’ Outdoor Radio Unit (RU) is tailored for large-scale outdoor deployments requiring high radio output power and flexible coverage options. This micro-cell solution with 4T4R capability delivers 5W/Channel output power and covers a radius from hundreds of meters to 1.5 kilometers. Featuring support for various external antennas, weatherproof casing with IP65 rating, and suitability for indoor open spaces with high ceilings, such as warehouses and public areas.
Indoor RU
LIONS’ Indoor Radio Unit (RU) is designed for indoor spaces with partitions and facilities, offering a pico-cell solution with 4T4R capability, 250mW/Channel output power, and a coverage radius of around 30 meters. Featuring an internal integrated omni-directional antenna for simplified yet flexible deployment, it can be combined with LIONS’ Fronthaul Gateway to form a 5G O-RAN indoor distribution system as well.
Fronthaul Gateway
LIONS’ Fronthaul Gateway connects multiple RUs to a single DU using the Open Fronthaul interface and supports interoperability multi-vendor RUs. Ideal for scenarios with multiple indoor spaces or low UE density, the gateway, when combined with Indoor RUs, reduces indoor coverage deployment costs. During the initial deployment of 5G private networks, the Fronthaul Gateway establishes flexible wireless coverage, lowering initial CUDU and server investment costs. It also enables a single CUDU to cover a larger area, reducing costs in CUDU and servers while maintaining coverage quality.
